It wasn't too long ago that I was cutting through the Alberta countryside on my single speed. Wind in my hair, sweat under my helmet. But as time wore on, and the hills got a little steeper and the wind blew a little stiffer, I started dreading some of the rides I once loved. 

 

I had heard about ebikes, but didn't understand what all the fuss was about. It wasn't until I was out riding one day, struggling my way up a monster hill, when a man roughly my age passed me with ease. He hardly seemed to be pedalling! I knew there must be something to this, I was sick of being winded, and I knew that surely more people felt the same way.

I tried to find an ebike that fit my Calgary lifestyle, the challenging rides I enjoyed and the unpredictable elements. When one couldn't be found, I opted to make one instead. Soonafter, this quest to make a Calgary ebike brought the Copper movement to you. Enjoy the ride.
